Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SessionMap, including sessionmap.io, the canvas application, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by SessionMap ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

SessionMap provides browser-based tools to visualize DAW session routing, run local mix health audits, and export signal-flow PDF blueprints. Session file parsing occurs locally in your browser unless explicitly stated otherwise in product documentation.

Features, pricing tiers, and availability may change. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to paid subscribers.

Certain features require a paid subscription. Fees are billed according to the plan you select. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Refund policies are disclosed at checkout or in your account settings.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for all activity under your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service.
• Upload malware, automated scraping tools, or content designed to exploit vulnerabilities.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written authorization.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with SessionMap or use our trademarks without permission.
• Use the Service to process session data you do not have the legal right to access or analyze.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or conduct that poses risk to the Service or other users.

"SessionMap," the SessionMap logo, and related marks, trade dress, and product names are trademarks of SessionMap. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written consent, except as permitted by law for fair reference to our Service.

Third-party trademarks — including Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Cubase, and FL Studio — are the property of their respective owners. SessionMap is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple, Avid, Ableton, Steinberg, or Image-Line.

You retain full ownership of all session content you import and all PDF blueprints, JSON exports, or other artifacts you generate using the Service. SessionMap claims no intellectual property rights over your DAW sessions, mix routing diagrams, track names, or exported documentation.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service software and documentation solely for your internal professional or personal use, subject to these Terms and your subscription tier.

SessionMap retains all rights in the Service itself — including software, UI design, routing algorithms, branding, and documentation — except for content you provide or generate as described above.

Because session files are processed locally, you are responsible for securing your device, managing exported files, and complying with confidentiality obligations to your clients, labels, and collaborators. SessionMap does not store or recover session data on your behalf.

Audit results and routing visualizations are provided as informational tools. You are solely responsible for verifying mix routing decisions before delivery to clients or release.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that audit results will detect every routing issue in every DAW export format. DAW vendors may change export schemas without notice.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SESSIONMAP AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SessionMap from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your session content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise in your jurisdiction.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes to paid subscriptions will be communicated via email or in-app notice where practicable. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
